As an independent introducing broker, CIH has a direct relationship with clients. As shown in the diagram below, we work with a number of futures commissions merchants (FCMs), who clear and settle each trade with the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) and other major commodities exchanges.

National Futures Association (NFA) is the industry-wide, self-regulatory organization for the U.S. futures industry.
US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is a governmental organization whose mission is to foster open, competitive, and financially sound markets.
Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) is responsible for overseeing the integrity of the system for clearing and processing trades and offers a variety of educational resources.

Futures and options trading involve significant risk of loss and may not be suitable for all individuals. Futures are a leveraged investment and because only a percent of a contract's value is required to trade, it is possible to lose more than the amount of money initially deposited for a futures position.
